Hiren's BootCD is a collection of freeware tools wrapped together with a Linux platform to boot from, meaning you do not need an installed operating system on the computer. To aquire this tool that many computer technicians use you can downloaded as a ZIP file which contains an ISO image as well as tools to customize the BootCD and information such as a changelog. The ISO image can then be burned to a CD but can also be put on to a USB thumb drive.
